Shayna ‘Rabba Nechama’ Naveh: I am a Holistic Independent Rabbi with Sephardic Rabbinic Ordination, an Orthodox Ashkenazic background, and studies in mystical thought. My non-denominational approach balances tradition, spiritual insight, and modern pastoral care. I guide individuals in navigating their spiritual journeys and integrating Jewish values into their lives with intentionality and purpose.
Drawing on my diverse training and experience, I offer deeply personalized guidance, instruction, and ceremonial services tailored to meet each individual’s spiritual and practical needs. I provide thoughtful spirituality consultations, customized Hebrew and Judaica instruction, and meaningful life-cycle services. My passion lies in guiding fellow Jews—and those on the path to becoming Jews—in discovering their personal spiritual path ("derekh") within the broader Jewish tradition.
I also specialize in crafting personalized Jewish wedding ceremonies and ketubot. Using a template I developed, I ensure ceremonies reflect modern social realities and resolve iggun—a condition that historically affected Jewish women in marriage—promoting equity in modern ceremonies.
In addition, I am deeply committed to helping families find comfort and meaning through Jewish end-of-life rituals. My personalized ceremonies honor both tradition and contemporary realities, providing solace during significant transitions. My experience includes officiating at funerals, serving as Rosha, and Rabbinic Advisor for the Maui Chevrah Kadisha, as well as, for a short time prior to my relocation, as President of the Hawaii Inter-Island Chevrah Kadisha and a Jewish hospital and hospice chaplain.
