Like all of my services, I personalize your B’Mitzva program. I work with each individual or family to craft a meaningful ceremony within a wide range of customs and styles. If you are not in the greater Seattle area, I can guide you through all preparations and coordinate with your local officiant. If you choose to hold your ceremony locally, I can also officiate. I also love preparing adults for B’Mitzva.
B’Mitzva Preparation
Even if I am not officiating at your B’Mitzva, I can still work with you to prepare for your day. For questions or to schedule your complimentary 20‑minute initial phone consultation and your first Zoom session, please Contact Me. I will reach out as soon as possible to schedule.
Initial 20‑Minute Phone Consultation Free of charge.
Pre‑B’Mitzva Learning Whether or not I officiate at the B’Mitzva, I can work with you or your child during the year (or two) leading up to the ceremony. Sessions are personally tailored to your needs. For topic options, Click Here.
Pre-B’Mitzva Spiritual Counseling Both adults and teenagers preparing for B’Mitzva can benefit from spiritual and religious preparation for the post‑B’Mitzva reality. This option goes deeper than B’Mitzva training. In addition to helping you feel confident in the core aspects of Jewish observance, my focus is on helping you find your personal spiritual derech (path) within the larger Jewish path. Figuring out where one stands — or fits — in the Jewish world today is not easy.

What to Expect
In our initial meeting, I will get to know you — or you and your child — and discuss how to shape the ceremony for this important life event exactly as you want it to be. Before our first Zoom meeting, I create a rough outline for the ceremony in a shared Google Doc so you can add comments and ask questions.
During our meetings, we review and customize the ceremony together, tailoring it to your preferences and determining who will do what. After the details are finalized, we have one more Zoom meeting to go over everything, practice your parts, and answer any remaining questions.
Day‑of Officiant Package — The B’Mitzva Ceremony
If you choose to have me officiate, I will lead the ceremony at the venue of your choice. Please note: I do not provide a Torah scroll. If your ceremony includes Torah reading, the venue or family will need to supply one.
A 50% non‑refundable deposit is required to hold your B’Mitzva date, and the remaining balance is due 14 days before the ceremony. Rates vary based on ceremony length and travel.
