Like all of my services, I personalize your Jewish wedding. I work with each unique couple to craft a meaningful ceremony. I also write an accompanying ketubah in a way that expresses your love story if desired. Additionally I provide Pre-Marital Spiritual Counseling. If you choose to do a ceremony in the greater Seattle area I can also officiate - if you are not in Seattle, or would like someone else to officiate, I can help you through all the preparations and coordinate with your officiant.
For questions or to schedule your your complimentary 20-minute initial phone consultation and/or your first zoom session please Contact Me. I will call you ASAP to schedule.

Wedding Program I can put together, in a pdf, an outline of your ceremony with descriptions so your guests can follow along and understand the ceremony.
Ketubah Writing I can work with you to create a ketubah text that feels authentic and personal to you.
Pre-Marital Spiritual Counseling All couples can benefit from preparing spiritually and religiously for married life. It is especially recommended for couples with differing observance approaches and for interfaith couples.
My specialty is what I have named Reciprocal Kiddushin ceremonies and their accompanying Ketubot - egalitarian Jewish weddings with all the lovely traditional pieces but which do not leave the bride at risk for iggun.
If you are not familiar with the trauma of agunot, or even if you are, this video speaks for itself. Click Here for more info.

The actual wedding ceremony
What to Expect: In our initial consultation meeting I will get to know you and discuss how to make the ceremony for this important life event just as you want it to be. Before our first zoom meeting I put together a rough outline for the ceremony on a google doc and share it with you so that you can make comments and ask questions. During the meetings we go over it and customize it, tailoring it to fit your personal preferences as well as determining who will do what. If you desire a ketubah we will do the same with the ketubah. After the details of the ceremony are hammered out we have one final zoom meeting to go over everything, practice your parts and answer any questions you may have. And then there is the actual wedding ceremony at your choice of venue! I will communicate with your wedding coordinator, arriving before the ceremony to make sure everything is set-up properly. After the ceremony is over I, you, and two witnesses must sign the Washington State Certificate of Marriage.
For information on obtaining a marriage license go to https://kingcounty.gov/en/legacy/depts/records-licensing/recorders-office/marriage-licensing
Note: A fifty percent non-refundable deposit is needed to hold the date for your island wedding and final payment is due 14 days prior to the wedding. Travel fees for the day of the ceremony apply and vary depending on location. If the venue does not provide a chuppah I have one that can be rented. You can pick it up yourself or I can deliver it to the venue for a delivery fee.
FYI: The only things absolutely neccessary for your Jewish wedding are: You (the couple), me (the officiant), a chupa or a tallit (prayer shawl) to be held over your heads, some wine or grape juice, a location, and a ketubah if desired. For a traditional ceremony two Jewish witnesses are also needed. That said, many couples desire to have things like Flowers and Decorations, Food and Beverages, Music, Photography and/or Videography, Equipment Rentals, Transportation and of course, a beautiful Venue. I do not yet have a list of local vendors to share with you as I recently relocated from out of state. I hope to compile one in the near future.
