The Month of Adar

Did you know that the spiritual energies that flow in the world vary throughout the year?

We are now in the Jewish month of Adar (אדֲָר ). It is the 2th-month counting from the Exodus. This month is the culmination of the year and brings the energy of revealing the hidden. It is known as a month where Mazal (destiny/fortune/flow of beneficence) is strong for the Jews. Adar is also known as a month of joy and as representative of completeness and holiness. Purim, which falls in this month, is connected to the coming of the Mashiach (redemption). We can use the energy of this month to reveal the Divine Presence that it is hidden in our physical world, thus increasing our mazal and our joy, and bringing ourselves and the world closer to the completeness of the final redemption.

And the Spleen in the Soul Male and female.

Month: Twelfth.

Letter of the month: Kuf (ק) numerical value 100 Zodiac sign (Mazal): Dag (Fish) / גד (Pisces)

Color: Forest Green

Tribe of Israel: Naftali (ילתפנ)

Sense: Laughter / קוחצ from the verb litz’chok.

Corresponding body part: T’chol (לוחט) / Spleen

Thoughts…

The spleen is part of our immune system which protects us from infection and illness. Though someone can live without a spleen, they are at a much higher risk of contracting serious infections. Negative thoughts, moods, and depression are like infections. Laughter can break through these negative energies and change one’s emotions to joyful ones. May we all utilize laughter this month to elevate our thoughts and shift our moods and perspectives so that we can reveal the hidden dimensions and transform our realities!
