Jewish Healing

Let it Go!

Make sure you are really letting your number one stressor go. Don’t hold on. Let go of any unhealthy attachments. Revisit your energy practitioner.  Remember you need several sessions sometimes before you notice results. You are teaching your body to remember how to heal itself.

King David/David Hamelech wrote, “Hashlech Al Hashem Yehavcha – Throw up your burden to Hashem/God who loves you.” You’ve done what you can. Now just let it go. Release it.

Feel the Gratitude

Notice the things in your life that you are grateful for and feel the gratitude. Do this as often as you think of it. Practicing a regular feeling of gratitude gives us more energy and optimism, helps us sleep better, strengthens our immune system and increases our health.

Starting our day with gratitude sets the tone for the day. In the Jewish tradition, when we wake in the morning and before we get out of bed we say: mode/moda ani lefanecha… I am grateful before You. Have you been feeling the gratitude recently?

Joy

Try to do everything with a feeling of joy and elevated spirituality. When we act in a joyful way our brain secretes serotonin and endorphins that make us feel good.

There are four synonyms for Joy in Hebrew: chedva, gila, simcha and sason. We often mention these words together in our songs and prayers. All four aspects or levels come together to create the experience of Joy.
